Prime Minister to address nation at 8 pm on crucial aspects related to risk of COVID-19

Delhi: PM Narendra Modi address the nation today,24th march 2020 at 8 pm on the virus outbreak, which has infected 450+ approx people in India.
"I will address the nation at 8 pm today on vital aspects relating to the scourge of the pandemic COVID-19," PM Modi tweeted.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also brief media amid expectations of a bailout package amid the coronavirus lockdown.
This is the prime Ministers second address to the nation, when he called for a "Janata Curfew" on Sunday 22nd march 2020, from 7 am to 9 pm, self-quarantine to fight against the spread of coronavirus.

  • In India 9 people have died till now due to coronavirus. 
  • Trains, metros and buses have been stopped and airlines will stop from tomorrow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday tweeted that many were not taking the lockdown seriously. 
"Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request state governments to ensure rules and laws are followed," (tweeted in Hindi)

Both Private jobs and Govt jobs have their own advantages and disadvantages.it depends on you as an individual to make the choice between both.The obvious thing is that private jobs pay more and on the other hand government jobs are more secure. However, this is not all. Let’s compare both with some details.


Government jobs are more competitive

Many people wish to have a government job,But they might not be able to get it due to no. of limited vacancies and Cut throat competition. You need to invest adequate time on exams preparations and for selection you have to fulfill eligibility criteria to get it. 
Private companies relatively have more no. of jobs and there chances are more for getting selected.

1.Job security

Job security is one of the major factors that work for decision making. In private sector, due to market condition later might choose to downsize the team for organisation's Growth. During recession, private companies terminate lot of employees for cutting down their costs.One cannot feel sure that his/her job will be there afte years. 
But government jobs are comparatively more stable and secure. People are getting fired only because of some major performance issue or one is involved with activities that are completely unacceptable. People thus feel more secure and may plan their future better with a government job.

2.Better retirement policy

Government jobs ensure that an employee’s future is secured even after retirement in comparison to a private sector. In a private Organisation, An employee needs to plan and take care of his or her future after retirement.Different schemes ensures that an employee’s lifestyle is maintained after retirement. Also, various government sector jobs like Banking and Railways provides benefits like travel, stay or medical benefits to employees even after their retirement.

3.Relocation

Most of the government organisations especially banks have good re-location policies for employees. An employee can relocate to a new place while working with the same bank unlike private companies, where this is not possible. This helps people willing to relocate to native place where their parents are or relocation after marriage.

4. Public and national holidays

Government jobs Gives more holidays than private companies. In India, government offices declare holidays for most of festivals in comparison to private offices. In Private sector few offices have optional holidays, some have limited numbers like 10 holidays in a year. 
If you are working for a foreign based MNC, you will not have Indian holidays. In this case, government jobs allow you to enjoy most of the festivals you celebrate without affecting your leaves.

5.Better work life balance:

Government jobs have shorter working hours in comparison to private sector jobs. Most of the government offices have 7 hours of working while private offices mostly have 9 working hours. Also, the number of login hours is stringent unlike government offices. 
A government employee thus can have quality time at home to spend with family.


6.Flexibility and more leaves


Government jobs have better leave policies as compared to private jobs.The no. of leaves are more in government sector. Also, approval is more flexible and employee-friendly in comparison to private jobs. In  private companies, employee assigned max 20 leaves in a year. The approval of leaves also depends on the work load and availability of backup.
7.Work stress
As compared to private jobs, the stress levelof work is lesser in government sector. This is because the public-sector work towards long-term goals and the work pressure mostly varies depending on time like Year end, festivals etc. 
On the contrary, private sector focuses on short-term goals and work deadlines.Sometimes, these deadlines can add up to an employee’s stress level.
These are some important differences between government and private job.  Now, its on you to decide and choose career. There are advantages and disadvantages of both private job and government job and irrespective of the sector, you will experience ups and downs in your career. it is important that you make an informed decision.

  • To clarify the rumours, statement has been released which states that lata mangeshkar ji is fine and getting  better.


Lata Mageshkar,90, was hospitalised to the Breach candy hospital on Monday,November 11. She  was feeling breathlessness. Her fans are worried about her health and praying for her speedy recovery. Recently, Hospital sources said that now she is stable and showing signs of  improvement but it will take sometime to recover,which is good news for her fans.

From last few days,rumours of her death have made their way to social media and many have started posting and addressing the same.


To clarify these rumours, a statement by Lata Mangeshkar's staff has been released. which states

"Lata Mangeshkar is stable and recovering steadily. Request all members of the media to please don't give voice to rumours. Thank You for standing by us."

Shobha De tweeted, “Just spoke to the family . By God’s grace, our precious nightingale is fine.@mangeshkarlata.” The update came just a few minutes after she asked Twitter about an update on the singer’s health. “Tell me it isn’t true. Has India lost its nightingale? @mangeshkarlata,” the author had tweeted.


In a statement, her family had said that the singer is fighting the illness like a "fighter".
After the news of Lata Mangeshkar Hospitalization, many celebrities like Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi, Adnan Sami, & Poonam Dhillon pray for Mangeshkar's recovery via social media . Her fans are also posting and praying for her  speedy recovery and well-being. 






Considered,one of the greatest and versatile singer of Indian cinema, Lata Mangeshkar has sung 30000 plus songs in various languages.she is into playback singing from decades. She last sung for film veer zara in 2004. Nightangle of India got Bharat ratna award in 2001.
